Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?
The Yamanashi excursion was very fun and insightful. To escape the bustling life of Tokyo for once to visit a rural and quiet place really resonated with me.
Which co-curriculum classes did you find most satisfying?
The English Support Classes really helped reinforce recently learned material.
Why did you select this program?
While KCP was the most highly rated study abroad program, it was also the cheapest. I was also intrigued by the idea of learning Japanese through the direct method.
What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?
The most interesting aspect of this program was being placed in a class with many other students of diverse backgrounds--everyone in a classroom must rely on Japanese to communicate.
What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?
Games, pair work, drill practice, group sessions, and practicing dialog with our sensei.

Were you pleased with the general living arrangements? Anything you especially liked? Any problems you experienced?
I was really pleased with my living arrangement. Every morning and night, excluding Sundays, the dorm cafeteria cooks would prepare delicious, nutritious meals for free.
Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?
The program does not boast intensive for no reason. It is very crucial to study every day or else you will be left behind and confused the next day in class. While the work load is definitely difficult, the results and experiences are well worth it.
